Dang!! So long without a word in my blog! LOL. Decided to do a short blogging since it's a Sunday today.. phew~ rest day =D
Maybe start from the last gathering which I can rmbr.. LOL.
Hmm.. met Dollyn and Jun at Vivo City that day.. can't particularly remember which day it was but it was a Tuesday.. Eil was supposed to come but backed out last min.. as usual :P
Headed down to Vivo where Jun works.. It's only like 10 mins bus ride from my workplace? Met Dollyn first as the busy bumblebee(reminds you of TRANSFORMERS? :P) Jun had to work late.. so while waiting.. we went to grab a little pressie for Jun since her bday was approaching.. got her some nice snacks from the Spanish Area in Vivo hahaha..
After getting the pressie? nothing to do liao.. we walked around.. around.. and around.. hmmm.. after that Dollyn decided to queue for donuts! so while she queued for Donuts I went to queue for the Hong Kong Restaurant which had a long queue.. so Jun.. know how gd we are huh.. hahaha.. After that had we had dinner, donuts and went hm.. For pictures can refer to Jun's blog :P
Just had a mini family gathering with some of my relatives last weekend.. hmmm.. we went to a Chinese Restaurant which is quite ulu.. opposite SAFTI MI.. but the food there is not bad.. Imagine having ur lunch from 12 noon to almost 3pm -.-" quite alot of food eh? but the amount of food was not the only reason for it to last 3 hrs.. The pace at which they served the food was veyr slow too, compared to other restaurants. Pros and cons abt it.. The older generation seems like they prefer it so that you won't get too bloated/full too fast.. there's time to digest and walk ard to chit chat abit before the next dish gets served.. But if you are already very hungry pls dun go there ok. hahahaa.. or else u will keep thinking abt when's the next dish going to be served and get very pek cek >.<
Very fast.. I've been working for 9 mths plus.. coming 10 months.. time to think abt my career again.. I plan to clock at least 1 yr at my current company before moving on.. Some feelings about my job? How much have I learnt actually? I did learn quite alot from my fellow colleagues, but in my opinion, it's considered little compared to my friends who are working in development projects. The amount of coding and development I did is PEANUTS compared to them. Therefore thinking about whether to move on to a company where i can get involved in development projects to learn more stuffs while I'm still young. I do not wish to go into a very siong job when I'm already in my late 30s?
Environment wise, I like my colleagues. I have alot of friends, even university friends who are working together with me on the same premises. Read from Xianster's blog that she went for an interview at my workplace too. Hmm.. If she gets it, which i seriously hope she does, we will be working at the same compounds right? After getting used to the 2 systems which I maintain and provide Ops and Support, the amount of stress I feel is not as high as compared to the time which I just joined the team. And I know know that I have reliable team mates to count on whenever our systems encounter problems. Basically these are the factors which I'm thinking through.. The current market for IT developers is quite gd actually.. alot of companies looking for developers.. Salary wise, fresh grads are getting even higher than us! and some of my friends managed to find new jobs with gd salaries.. gd for them!
I am also thinking of whether to continue to try and pursue my dream career.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........
