Hi Everyone! I'm back after a 3 week training stint in Nepal!
Most of you must be thinking that.. "wa.. so shiok! can go Nepal!! Somemore all-paid trip!" ha.. but you guys never see the "dark" side of our training yet lehz and the conditions which we had to go through.. ha.. this 6-week leadership training program(3 weeks in Singapore and 3 weeks in Nepal)really tested our physical and mental resilience.. and I've gotten more tanned as most ppl said.. ha.. hard to imagine right.. for those who have known me for quite awhile should know that I hardly get tanned even under the sun.. ha..
As most of you have a facebook account, I've uploaded most of the photos there.. here's the link to it...

For those without facebook.. erm.. i will try to think of something.. ha..
We climbed numerous steps, battled with battalions of resilient leeches and sweated like a dog! For me i tend to sweat more even more jialat haha.. still remember that on the very first day of the trek we encountered so many leeches! Luckily I'm skillful enough to fend them off.. ha.. but still kana 2 small bites cos I slipped a few times during the slippery trek and they managed to get onto my hand. No leech bites on my legs though :P and for those who think that wearing thick clothings or socks can fend them off right, save the trouble.. they bite through them! hahaha..
Caught a chill high up in the mountains when it's only like 8 degrees during the day? ha.. recovered a few days later but it was really tiring and i was panting profusely while climbing and trekking around the Annapurna Circuit. Phew~ I will tell you all more details when I have the chance to meet up with you guys!
Arrived back at Singapore on 13th Sep Saturday night! Guess who's the first person to greet me?? Ha.. my niece!! came running towards me with a small box of mooncakes for me.. ha.. so nice, sweet and cute! Missed her so much.. and of cos my parents too. Thanks sis and chris for bringing Chloe to the airport! Missed HW alot while I was there too.. At first hoped to see her at the Airport but in the end told her not to come cos it will be quite awkward for her too.. met her later in the night after returning to Singapore :)
I expected myself to be totally burnt out and to be sleeping and resting at home for the next few days which I am on off. Turns out I'm still ok! so unlike myself! ha.. maybe it's because i slept quite abit during the few days of R&R at Pokhara and Kathmandu.. dun really like kathmandu although it's the capital of Nepal. so messy, dusty and yeeeark!! For those who wish to visit Nepal I will advise u to avoid Kathmandu. Just stop by there for a transit to other areas where u can trek and enjoy the mountains and the wonderful scenery over there.
End up I went out the whole of Sunday, Monday and Tuesday! ha.. finally returned to Tracom on Wed morning and I'm blogging now in camp.. On Sunday, acc HW to buy her phone together with Kat. So qiao to know that Kat knows one of my friends who is a teacher too.. ha.. the world is so small and we are all connected in some way or another.. End up HW bought her phone through STshop and was very lucky to have got it at a cheaper price cos the phone's price at the online STshop shot up the next day! I find ST pricing for phones is very messy. The prices are different at a Road Show, the Singtel Shop and the online Singtelshop! So confusing for consumers. They should do sth abt it. ha..
Managed to visit my ex colleagues at MOE. Good to see them doing well and glad that so many ppl still remember me! ha.. Oh ya.. and I went for a pre-Lasik evaluation on Monday morning. hmm.. ya.. i'm going to do lasik.. this pair of specs is proving too much of a hindrance to my job.. find it a total hindrance esp when i was in Nepal for training! Caught a 2 hr 40 min classic movie called "The Banishment". After the show I have alot of doubts and curiosity about the content in the show. Leaves us guessing how the events are interlinked to each other. Hopefully the Director can shed some light soon.
Back at Tracom, back to training. Got chosen to be the Guard Of Honour Contingent Commander for our Passing Out Parade. Woo.. First time I'm doing this though I did alot of drill b4 last time in the Boys' Brigade. But nothing so prominent and high profile as this one! Hope I will train and do well! For my dear friends who wish to attend the parade, please inform me asap so that I can book a seat for u! ha.. come support me!! =P
